 Dr. Carol Ann Neale, 1933-2002
Dr. Carol Ann Neale was cofounder and CO-pastor of the Center for Spiritual Living-Fremont, CA with her husband, Dr. Jay Scott Neale. Together they trained and inspired many ministers, practitioners and students.
Dr. Carol taught accredited Science of Mind Classes and developed many additional classes and seminars, as well as working in personal counseling, to assist people in personalizing and applying spiritual principle. She also spoke and presented classes at other churches, for other groups and at the Asilomar Conferences.
Dr. Carol was a wise, insightful teacher who served on and developed curricula for the Board of Education of Religious Science International including writing THE SPIRITUAL MIND TREATMENT WORKBOOK which is used in accredited classes, and co-authored the MANUAL FOR TEACHERS OF SCIENCE OF MIND for ministers and advanced students. She also wrote for Creative Thought Magazine.
Dr. Carol was an elementary school teacher before becoming a minister and one of her dreams came true when she founded our Creative Life School.
She and Dr. Jay Scott Neale were married in 1975, the day before he graduated from ministerial training. Their honeymoon was spent traveling up the coast from Los Angeles, deciding where to start a center. Their relationship always demonstrated and proved spiritual principle in their personal lives and working experience together.
She received her first Practitioners License in 1978, became a licensed minister 1979 and received her Doctorate in 1991.
Dr. Carol felt everyone’s quest is for wholeness. Self acceptance and understanding of whatever is here now as part of the unfolding spiritual process is the true perfection and point of power to change.
She received the Robert Bitzer Legacy Award in 2002.
Dr. Carol Neale founded the Fremont Church of Religious Science with her husband, Dr. Jay Scott Neale, July 1975. She made her transition on July 14, 2002, as the Asilomar Conference began. She is held in the hearts of all of us in Religious Science.

God forever goes forth as me in new experiences of Life. All that I am is this Divine Activity, joyously finding expression through me. I awaken to this sublime Truth in an increased deepening of consciousness.
My Essential Nature reveals Itself to me as a magnificent potential for life-affirming good. I let all my thoughts, dreams, feelings, and actions easily align to this Supreme Center of Being as a natural event. I greet God in everyone I meet. I respond to challenges with an awareness that whatever comes to me has benefits for me.
I accept the blessings of new understanding, growth in ability to respond and always, the opportunity for love to be expressed. I know I am exercising and stretching in positive action. I feel the blissful radiance of knowing I am one with the Divine.
The world, and many of us in it, are blessed because she was here.
